                Amy tan is a America Chinese girl, Amy was nine years old when this story began. Amy`s mother move to California in 1949 after lose anything in china lose her mother, father, husband and two twins girls. Amy lives an apartment with her family mother and father in Sacramento California in china town. Amy mother believe in America dreams, she told Amy you can be famous you can became anything you want to be. Amy mother have some strict rules that Amy has to follow. The mother gets ideas from magazines and from TV shows where kids show their talent by playing musical instruments. The mother wants to make Amy to look like one of them. One day the mother took her to a beauty salon to have a nice hair look, Amy pick a style that the mother did not like it and told to Amy" look like a negro Chinese" and send back to the salon to have another style then ,the person who was doing the hair to Amy told the mother peter pan is the fashion right now, then the Amy she was thinking i will look  like a princess a lot of nice things came in her mind   but, when she see  herself   to the mirror  she never  is what she was dreaming .Days  pass  and her mother  want  was watching a TV show were kids play musical instruments then, the mother trade some piano classes  with   Mr. Chong he live in the same apartment  Amy lives Mr. Chong teach  how  to play some notes and told Amy how to play  but he never teach Amy how to fix errors . Amy play by herself   like a year practicing just the basic thing that Mr. chong showed to her. The mother took Amy   to a talent  how in a  church hall, Amy was thinking  she will   she fine  she is going to shine  in the show .But Amy  never learned  how to fix errors   she committed a lot of mistakes  but she think she did great till people applause weak and   when a boy  told his mother that was '' awful'', Amy  realized she did   not good  and look how her mother and her dad were disappointed  . Mr. Chong was the only happy after the talent show. They went back to the apartment with not comments at all. After few weeks the mother forces Amy to play the  piano and every time the mother said  four o'clock Amy  have to watch the talent show on the TV . One day when Amy told her  mother  to stop  forcing  her doing thing that she does not want to do and  she was not the daughter that they wish  . Amy told her mother that she wish be dead like everybody else  because she think they never accept them like her daughter. After the discussion Amy’s mother left the room and they never talk about the talent show and the piano lesions. After 2 years when Amy turn 13 years old, Amy  mother give's the Piano to   Amy as a gift. Amy accept the piano  But , after few days the mother died day pass, Amy tune the piano as her mother  would like to  hear it . Amy  played  the piano several times and her mother never see her how good she became.
